A café in Sudbury has launched a meal scheme to help those in need this festive season.

Prado Lounge can be found opposite the market in front of St Peter's in Sudbury serving a range of food and drinks.

It is owned by The Lounges, a West Country based restaurant and bar group.

In an announcement on social media, the business said: "As the Christmas period approaches, our roles in the community become ever more important."

"That's why we at Prado have started out own initiative for helping anyone who is struggling this year."

"From someone who has no food at home, to the mum who buys food for her children but not herself, these meals have been prepaid and donated by customers and staff."

The Skye Lounge in Felixstowe has also set up a similar meal scheme for winter.

Customers at Prado Lounge in Sudbury can donate a meal either in store or over the phone.

Any prepaid meal tickets unclaimed will be donated to the Storehouse Foodbank.

The café also has a donation box and is raising funds for Abi's Footprints Baby Bank.
