A much-loved Suffolk beauty spot has been named one of the best places in the UK for an Easter break.

The Stour Valley, which cuts across Suffolk and Essex and includes the likes of 'Constable Country', has been included in a list compiled by National Geographic.

According to National Geographic "the beauty of the River Stour and its valley has long attracted artists, not least John Constable, whose paintings gave the area its ‘Constable Country’ sobriquet".

Areas inside the Stour Valley include Dedham which was recently named one of most underrated beauty spots in the UK

In the village you will also find the Art and Craft centre which is home to more than 60 artisan retailers.

If you are looking for a place to stay Dedham Hall is also one of the best places to rest your head after a walk around the Suffolk countryside.

There are a number of great walks around Stour Valley including The Flatford and Constable trail which was named one of the best in the UK by a national survey

The seven-mile trek explores the Stour Valley and Dedham Vale areas of Suffolk's border with Essex.

The Flatford and Constable trail takes ramblers on a route through the picturesque countryside and along the River Stour.
