Man rescued from car on its side following collision

A man has been taken to hospital with injuries following a collision where all three emergency services were called in Acton, near Sudbury.

Suffolk Police were called shortly after 8.30am this morning to what is believed to be a single vehicle collision in the village of Acton.

The vehicle had crashed near the Crown pub on the High Street and was on its side when police arrived.

The East of England Ambulance service and Suffolk Fire and Rescue were also called to the scene soon after the Suffolk Constabulary.

Suffolk Fire assisted the police and rescued the man who was trapped in his vehicle.

He was removed by 9.30am this morning and has subsequently been taken to West Suffolk Hospital by ambulance after he sustained some injuries.

The road was blocked and recovery are currently on their way to the scene.
