The hottest temperatures are set to be felt inland towards the west of the county.

Weatherquest forecaster Phil Garner said: “We will see temperatures into the low 30s this afternoon.

“The coast will be a little bit fresher with on-shore sea breezes and temperatures nearer 22 and 23 degrees.

“If the heat is a little much for you, the coast is the place to be.”

However, he warned that the hot temperatures could bring with them the chance of rain showers later in the afternoon in west Suffolk.

“Tomorrow is almost a repeat performance,” he added. “It looks as though it’s going to be hot once again.

“We could see temperatures of 33 degrees Celsius (91.4 Fahrenheit) in the western side of the county.

“Again, if that’s too much for you, head over to the coast.

“It’s going to be a great day for the ice cream sellers, so they say.”
