A CHARITY supporting a centre for adults with learning disabilities has announced a number of fundraising events for the year.

Helping Hands campaigns on behalf of the Sudbury Resource Centre, which supports 60 adults with learning disabilities.

Events planned for this year include plant sales, an Easter egg hunt, book sales, quiz nights, a fish and chips night, a Halloween disco, a pamper evening and a Christmas party.

Helping Hands chairman Jack Owen said fundraising was more important than ever because of the squeeze on the public sector grant bodies.
