The accident, which involved a push bike, happened at around 6am in Borley Road, Long Melford.

Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service treated the man at the scene for back and leg pain before taking him the West Suffolk Hospital.

An ambulance spokeswoman said the man is understood to have been in his 40s.
