Rail commuters continue to face disruption in the region this morning despite overhead wire problems between Ipswich and Norwich being repaired. List of cancellations below.

Trains services were suspended between Ipswich, Stowmarket, Diss and Norwich for around an hour this morning due to the broken overhead lines near Diss, reported at around 8.15am.

Network Rail engineers have carried out repairs and all lines were reopened at around 9.20am.

Disruption is now expected to last until 11am. Live updates here.

Greater Anglia said: “Following earlier overhead wire problems between Ipswich and Norwich all lines are now open.

“Train services between Norwich and Ipswich have been disrupted due to overhead wire problems. Network Rail engineers on site have repaired the fault and trains are now able to run between Ipswich and Norwich. However due to train and crew displacements, it may take longer than usual to restore the train service to normal.

“Some train services may terminate/start short of its booked destination/origin. Some services may be cancelled or delayed as a result.

“Passengers travelling between Norwich and Liverpool Street may travel via Cambridge into Liverpool Street. Passengers may also travel via Ipswich and Stowmarket to Cambridge for Greater Anglia services to Liverpool Street.

“Greater Anglia tickets will also be accepted on the following routes: East Midlands Trains between Norwich and Ely; Cross Country Services between Ely, Cambridge and Stansted Airport; Great Northern Services between Ely, Cambridge and London Kings Cross. Please allow extra time for your journey.”

East Anglia will be cut off from London at weekends again for the first three months of 2018.
