PERFORMING arts students are limbering up their vocal chords and getting into character for a musical comedy with a dark side.
The cast of 80 Sudbury Upper School students will stage a version of the rock musical, Little Shop of Horrors, based on a low-budget 1960sā black comedy.
The show features outlandish characters, ranging from a demented dentist to a singing plant, orchestrated with a mix of ā60s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown songs.
The plot centres on an orphan who works in a run down flower shop and acquires a mysterious plant, which he discovers needs human blood to survive. The shows run from February 1 to 3, starting at 7pm. Call 01787 375131 for details.
