Students at Ormiston Sudbury Academy recreated an old photograph to commemorate 40 years since its sixth form began.

The current Year 12 and 13 pupils posed in the same positions at the same place on school grounds to recreate the old picture of the Sudbury Upper School sixth form cohort of 1977/78.

Paul Stokes, head of sixth form, said: “I met Miles Coles from the University of Suffolk, who attended Sudbury Upper School back in the 70s and was in the first sixth form cohort of 1977/78.

“He brought in the old picture and I thought it would be good to replicate this to show our current sixth form students in the same positions.

“The students enjoyed finding out about how the sixth form had started and how the fashions had changed.”

The Ormiston Academy sixth form open evening takes place on Thursday, November 9, from 5.30pm-7.30pm.
