Sleepy Nico, a manufacturer of bespoke baby slings, has created the Alfie carrier to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Mother-of-two Angeline Braidwood, who runs the EADT/EDP Future 50 company from a studio in Sudbury, is donating £10 from every sale to the charity in honour of her friend Shona who died of the disease.

Additionally, 25% of the cost of the fabric used to make the slings has been donated to SANDS, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity.

Angeline said: “Every year we have a charity carrier and this year I wanted to find a really unique and special design which meant something to me personally.

“Since running Sleepy Nico I have had the opportunity to get to know some amazing women who work hard to help others and overcome some heartbreaking situations.”
