SUDBURY and District Transition Group is planning a series of events to encourage town residents to work towards a sustainable future.
On March 10, the group will host a free ‘swop shop’ in St Peter’s Church on Market Hill, encouraging people to bring along small unwanted items to exchange for something else, rather than sending them to landfill. Collection points for old mobile phones and printer cartridges will be set up at the event, which will run from 10am to 12.30pm.
Then at 1pm, the group will show films about the work of transition groups and the need to find alternatives to fossil fuel.
