Castle under siege, Framlingham Castle, August 11 and 12

Framlingham Castle will be catapulted back in time to 1216 this weekend as English Heritage recreates the famous Siege of Framlingham from within the castle walls. The weekend will allow visitors to experience what it is like to be under Norman attack. There is so much to do like preparing for battle, listening to tales from the medieval minstrels, watching a variety of demonstrations and dramatic arena shows and lots more. There will be a children’s arena where young warriors can learn how to successfully besiege a town before putting their new found skills to test in the kid’s battle. It will be an exciting event with something for everyone to enjoy and get involved in. The day is open from 10.30am until 5pm on both days, you can save money by buying tickets in advance online here.
