As the nights are starting to draw in and the sun rising later we are starting to see some spectacular sunrises and sunsets in Suffolk.

Here are a handful of places across the county that are ideal to help you capture the perfect picture of the sunrise.

Shingle Street

A popular location for photographers to get pictures of the sun rising over the Suffolk coast.

The isolated hamlet, alongside the mouth of the River Alde, is a great place for people to get a picture of the sunrise as well as the picturesque shingle beach.

Aldeburgh

Another favourite for photographers is Aldeburgh beach.

There is something special about watching the sunrise from the coast and with the Aldeburgh Scallop people really are able to get the perfect picture.

Aldeburgh was also recently named one of the most peaceful places in the UK.

Dunwich Heath

As one of the most easterly locations in the county, Dunwich Heath is one of the best places to get a picture of the sunrise in Suffolk.

Dunwich has also become a popular place for astrological photographers with one capturing an incredible picture of the Milky Way above Greyfriars Medieval Friary.

The beach has also been named one of the best places for a winter walk so why not combine the two?

Felixstowe Docks

Felixstowe is a great place for a picture of the sunrise with huge container ships in the background.

Although the docks make for a stunning picture there is also other places along the Felixstowe seafront that are great places to capture the sunrise.

Felixstowe Pier is also a popular place for photographers wanting to get that perfect picture.

Iken Cliff

Overlooking the River Alde, Iken Cliff is one of the county's most stunning spots for any budding photographer.

The calm waters from the river reflect the glowing sunrise overhead.
