Further closures are set to take place on a road in a village near Sudbury which has been prone to flooding.

Borley Road in Long Melford has been hit by frequent flooding problems during the winter months, prompting concerns from villagers and road users.

The road was shut for urgent repairs earlier in February and is set to close again for works to take place.

According to one.network, overnight closures will take place between Monday, February 26 and Saturday, March 2.

The road will be shut for flooding relief between 7pm and 5am each night.

Residents have previously shared their worries regarding the road, which has also seen a number of potholes emerge.

John Nunn, who is a part of Long Melford Parish Council, said: "Suffolk County Council has allowed this to go on for so long that the road has deteriorated into a terrible state and people have contacted me who have had burst tyres due to the potholes."
