A man has been taken to hospital by air ambulance after suffering serious injuries in a crash.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the collision in Sudbury's Melford Road, at the junction of Abbey Road, at about 3.20pm on Wednesday.

A spokesman for Suffolk police said two vehicles were involved.

A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. 

Three appliances from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene.
