A popular classic car show is returning to a west Suffolk village with a diverse mix of vehicles and fun for all the family.

The Lavenham Classics Motor Show will take place on Sunday, August 26, from 11am-4pm, at the recreation ground in the village.

Entry to the event is free but a contribution to this year’s chosen charity – the East Anglian Air Ambulance – is encouraged.

The event started in its present ‘Lavenham Classics’ format last year, following on from the long-running Rare Breeds Motor Show which was held in conjunction with Lavenham Carnival.

The carnival and the Rare Breeds Motor Show were held for the last time in 2016, but well-known classic car enthusiast Bruce Goddard stepped forward to promote a stand-alone classic car event with a greater focus as a village attraction.

The event is held on behalf of the Lavenham Community Council, which raises funds for village causes.

Half of all the profits from this year’s event will go to the East Anglian Air Ambulance, with the remainder going to the Lavenham Community Council.
